So right now, structures on islands are just boring, it’s either:

  • A small platform with an atlantean and/or Dark Sealed Chest
  • A ruined tower with the same things

(Please note that for now I haven’t really gotten that far in the Dark Sea, so they have more structures)

I don’t really want more structures (even though I’d like to see new structures), but I want them to be modified.

(I dont know if what I’m gonna explain is possible with the current island generation)
For my example, I’m gonna take the tower structure.

So, you take the tower, it has four sides, when the island is being generated and that tower is placed, there’s a high chance (that diminishes over time) that another tower or a hallway appears next to it, and this new piece of structure has a lower chance that another building right next to it, and so on. If the chances of having an extension diminish, it’s because it would probably create infinite buildings. Here’s an example made on paint (fear my skills).

I think everybody who has explored the Dark Sea agrees with me, islands structures are just boring when it’s the 523th time you see the same structure. The only problem being that I don’t know how the generation works and that this suggestion can’t even be implemented if the generation doesn’t allow this

expansion to these would be nice

I think in general more variants to the structures in the dark sea would be nice, even if their not generated like this. It gets a bit stale when you see the same ruined tower for the 70th time, (even if it doesn’t impact gameplay)

More structures in the dark sea would be really nice. Even though this is just a small expansion to a current structure I like it. This suggestion doesn’t fully fix the problems, but it’s a nice addition to help alleviate the issue.
