When Anthony Cole says he’ll never be promoted to major, it’s obviously foreshadowing. My theory is that he won’t make it because he’ll die halfway through the story. And Clark Anchor just seems too good to not also seem suspicious. He’s like that guy who gets everything he wants including praise and admiration but then it turns out at some point in the story that he’s evil. I don’t know any other details but my prediction is that Clark Anchor will somehow end up killing Anthony Cole.
