Heroes of the Forest is a linear 3D platformer and Adventure game with many features, such as a deep story, hidden collectibles, statues, boss fights and much more!
In this game, you explore the Misty Forest, a Forest where people don’t return from, however…it seems something has awakened deep into the forest.
Here are the game’s features:
-Collectable statues:Various statues with characters and lore about them, there are categories of statues, such as the Regular ones, Outskirt-exclusive ones (will mention Outskirts later), Event Statues and Star Statues, which are statues that are very secret, but also very tedious to get, the hardest statues to obtain basically.Certain statues are not included into the 100% completion requirement (badge for it is coming soon, hopefully without the old P2W vibe of the badge.)
-Scrapbook:A Scrapbook containing papers, notes and items of various origin that you read the lore about, there are alot of scraps to collect, including some outskirt-exclusive ones.
-Fun Boss Battles:Balanced and fair boss battles that become slightly more difficult with each boss, there are currently four (?) bosses in-game.
-The Outskirts:A Location you can go to to chill out, hang out, or collect even more scrapbooks and statues! the choice is yours here.There are various badges for visiting various locations in the Outskirts, and you also have to go there to complete a secret (?).
-Various Other Secrets:This might be considered a rant…but this is the first game where i completed a secret without much internet guidance, or without any at all.Atleast the game knows how to make a secret instead of requiring you to do 10 gajillion different out of the box steps, try to get hints from Devs or game Admins (depending on the dev team, they will either be a brick wall or help you through with hints.), and then when getting to the secret, you have to solve another puzzle or fight a boss with 100 different phases.Holy, do secrets better roblox game devs holy shit.
Secrets are the main source of star statues.
-Banger music, which are either licensed or used from uncopyrighted media, such as other video games:This is the reason how i became a music fan to various other game OST’s, and the creators, theo_owlman and bluecap67 have made a pretty good song selection which fits certain in-game locations, situations and boss fights just about right.
