Oneshot is boring as hell and has none of undertale’s charm.
Oneshot’s story was the only game that made me emotional.
Undertale had charm, but was completely fucked over by the amount of clichés it had.
“oooh look the funny man was actually really strong!”
or “the scientist worked on living beings, but feels bad for them”
but then Oneshot was about nihilism, making it better than sans.
Deep themes alone cannot carry a game, especially not one with nearly nonexistent gameplay. Undertale is fun to play. Oneshot is not.
you’re the kind of person who thinks its cool to speedrun a first playthrough and then say a game is boring because you didn’t actually look at dialogue.
or a person who mods their first playthrough and says the game was buggy.
I read the dialogue. It was not good or interesting. I was not invested in the characters at all. I came to hate Niko because of their slow walkspeed. The meta aspect of the game is super cliched and has no redeeming qualities.

listen, i’m not saying Undertale was bad, i liked it a lot, and is definitely stronger in some regards.
but Oneshot isn’t as bad as you were saying.

only other game i know that did that was ddlc, and that came out after Oneshot…
anyways yes, both games are good, but Oneshot will hold a special place in my heart where Undertale wasn’t.

Yes it is. Shit game. Anything is better than oneshot.
Maybe cliched isn’t the right word. I meant something more along the lines of “It’s an annoying gimmick that overstays its welcome by a lot.”
Hard disagree. Undertale is pretty good, but not as good as some people paint it. Oneshot is a pile of edgy shit. Now, discussion over. Neither of us are going to convince each other of anything.
