So I’m writing a non-ao series, and I’m trying to come up with something unethical you can do with mind/memory manipulation powers by either a good guy or a bad guy. The powers essentially allow complete control over a targets mind as well as being able to change their memories to your will
Any ideas would be appreciated.

You could send innocent people to prison for the rest of their lives, you could ruin little kids’ days and destroy families, and governments, and you could commit any crime possible and get away with it.
The list goes on.
Make yourself unnoticable by controlling the subconcious of people (totally not a refrence)
- Making someone believe they owe a life debt to you/are in love with you/ swore loyalty to you
- Making someone believe an incident was their fault, or making them misremember who caused the incident (especially useful for situations where eyewitnesses are important)
- Influencing someone to commit any crime or dangerous act for you and not worry about taking the blame
- Cause someone fake trauma by giving them fake memories of traumatic events
- Easily put yourself in positions of power by manipulating people up top
- Erasing core aspects of a person/character by making them forget what motivates them, what they’re fighting for, etc
That’s just a few of many, the possibilities are basically endless. You can make anyone do anything, change people’s entire personalities and identies on a whim without them even realizing. Mind control without hard limitations is a really broken power imo

The mind controller uses the people in the city to create a fake life for one singular person. Their life seems normal at first, but the mind controller creates events such as murders, harassment, or suicides to make that one person’s life a living hell. So many depressing things could happen all towards this one person, all for the enjoyment of the mind controller.
