Ok hold on I’m booting up the game and reading it out word for word
And my point is that the gun does negligible damage to abnormalities, especially when compared to e.g.o weapons.
“Conventional firearms were useless against abnormalities; using them was as futile as cutting water with a knife.” -EGO suit: penitence details
From the looks of it, they theoretically work but are functionally useless. Just like clerks
Hold on does this mean the rabbits are using ego or are they just using overwhelming force
I’d say some weapons could work, but they’d have to be high-end workshop gear or something involved with singularites to really be noticable against abnormalities. What could be classified as a peashooter the clerks are using isn’t doing much.
This is actually wrong as said in LobCorp itself
Binah says the actual reason. She talks about how there’s all sorts of weapons in the city, most of which could if used right be capable of harming abnormalities. The reason why E.G.O. is used in LobCorp exclusively is because unlike other weapons, E.G.O. can be used perfectly the moment you hold it, no matter if you’re a swordsmaster or think that a sword is a thing with string that shoots arrows at targets. Our agents are just random people who haven’t even been given any training other than basic combat training if I recall, and yet with E.G.O. they’re still quite powerful and dangerous because of this.
Well this is probably just an extremely minor plot hole because they didn’t bother to change penitences description from when they were still figuring out the lore, especially because the weapon doesn’t include that part of the description.
