While yes, I do believe this is a great addition and was necessary to aid in Arcane Odyssey’s community growth, what took so long?
I even DMed techlevel80 6 months ago suggesting this very thing (to which I received no response)
Better late than never I suppose? Would have been great if it became a thing … two years ago when the game released.
All of the largest AO content creators I personally know have left ages ago, due to either lack of updates or just general boredom with Arcane Odyssey (magmurr, territory, aimsell, etc(if you DON’T know who they are, look them up instead of pretending they’re nobodies), and many of them literally just wanted more communication with content creators.
Will I be applying? Of course (I already have) but I felt the need to make this post to vent my frustrations.
Honestly I feel like 2k subscribers is a bit too high. Theres a couple smaller youtubers with anywhere between 200-1k subscribers that make ao videos with semi-frequency.
I suggested as much, but I guess the biggest worry was TOO many people getting the role easily, including content creators who never actually made AO videos. Hopefully the program will see a few content creators come through.
2k is pretty high considering that’s way over the game’s current playercount
