why do you hate armor piercing so much, its just power2 for NPCs and most builds have some level of defense on them.
If they don’t have any defense then you’d probably kill them without power lol.

Because it’s not as interesting as literally any other substat, it’s just power 2.

If they replaced all the armor piercing with speed or size I garuntee all of these armor sets would become mainstays in build making

the problem with armor piercing is that the damage increase is minimal
if you’re against someone with like 1000 defense, you do like 10% more damage to them at 150 armor piercing
that turns a 300 damage move into a 330 damage move
if the formula was just a little bit better, like dividing by 1.5 at the end instead of 4, then the stat would actually be worth having
it isn’t even much of a damage increase by changing that, it goes up by 50

400 armor piercing gets you like 66% more damage against 1k defense

for fighting high level atlanteans armor piercing might be good, it’s like 50% flat more damage at 400, but you’re not getting enough power with 400 armor piercing for that damage increase to be significant

It’s fucking lame
Drawback and insanity are bad stats to have, but they are well-made bad stats, forcing you to speed up your battles or creating visual obstacles
Resistance and armor piercing basically don’t matter at all, if you are defeated without either of those, having them doesn’t really change anything

I didn’t ask why you thought it was lame, I asked why you thought it was useless.
Useless is the thing its been repeatedly called recently, even though it is very obviously not lol.

Like calling every piece of armor with armor piercing bad because it has armor piercing.

like yea, straight up power would be better in most cases but straight up power would be better than most substats in most cases.

Because I edited an entire poster about hating it and I’m not letting it go to waste :nod:

it’s like how the arcanium bracelet has that small bonus to intensity while being practically the same as an arcsphere otherwise

sure, it’s not the most helpful but extra substats are extra substats

I don’t think there is a single person who uses it.
The bonus it gives is utterly minor.
It basically has no effect on wether someone would choose a set or not. In the end it comes down how obtainable the set is.

It is objectively a good PvE stat, even if it isn’t always good in PvE because it has set % damage scaling in PvE (on top of piercing through annoying NPC blocks).

All 15 of my slots have a PvE set with Power and AP because of this, so technically at the very least, 15 characters do use AP.

We shouldn’t divide PvP and pve stats, any good build should be viable in both. This isn’t deepwoken
