Jewel secondary stats are hilarious and should not be changed. For them to even be this good anyway you will need to sacrifice having other stats from jewels.
Being killed by someone weak and fast but very funny is preferable to being killed by the same meta build that gloats about every kill.

Nah this is stupid. This dude just kept following us everywhere, pestering us then running away. Occassionally he’d spawn his ship, sink ours and then run away. It’s funny the first time. Not the 20th.
Yeah there can be quite a fine line between funny and annoying. I suspect that there will probably be changes in future, likely a cap on how many musgravite jewels can be equipped at once, since anyone with over a certain amount is obviously doing something silly like this.
maybe 1 musgravite per piece of gear?

If left unchecked they will bring about a climbing speed meta
climbing speed gets you up mountains faster. Gonna aim for 100% climbing speed on my warlord.
200% climbing speed or nothing.
nah, I want gem stat bonuses, climbing speed is just a side bonus.
