I love your intepretation of pre-rogue Kraken. He radiates this vibe of a serious, stern, cold and efficient commander which is fitting for his gloomy shadow magic usage. In addition, he reminds me of Chainsaw Man and Kamen Rider and I still don’t know why.

Omg wait am I tripping. I remember a character in AA that used to spawn randomally in the ocean, also something kraken something something like, a super strong fella exactly like the doodle. Is it this guy … ?? 
yep, kraken was a random spawning boss in aa that used shadow magic to sink your ship
