I have been levelling a fletcher. How did you tell?
Right now, I HAVE found diamonds, but I’m keeping off using them since I don’t have a lot. Iron is no rare commodity however. I’ve also failed a pillager raid, entered the nether (and done nothing in it), and are currently levelling up some villagers.
So, what have I done? In the time preluding, I’ve:
Gone to the nether (Haven’t found a fortress or anything, got some glowstone tho that was cool)
suffered trying to find a trial chamber
Let me just say it took a LOT of effort to finally get this map
It all started with this guy
Why? Because I needed emeralds to buy empty maps from a cartographer to level them up enough to have a chance at getting a map. It took me hundreds of spruce logs to get the emeralds.

This fucker I took all the way to master, through means like selling glass panes once he was levelled up once, and I didn’t get a trial map. I got an ocean map and a woodland map, which were cool, but I’ve already found a monument before on a trip and woodland mansions have too many hellish vindicators to kill.

He was the second cartographer, and he did have the map.
This took fucking AGES to find. I promise to you, these are all images of separate parts of the long way down. On the bright side, I now have several caves worth of ore I can get easy access to.
I still haven’t fucking found the actual doorway in, just what I think is the first room.
Update: I’ve had enough and just bore a hole into the chamber wall after a lot of digging out. I’ve fought two stray ambushes (by which I mean I let them engage in gang warfare until there was much less)
