We dont know. I think Vetex and Tech are yet to leave some pieces and crumbs on what happened to him. I could easily see it being revealed through a new addition to the world like what Blasted Rock did.

also I’m pretty sure that morden’s eyes did change colour after getting the curse, so there’s more confirmation that it does change
