Warrior's use of status effects

I have been thinking, with the recent additions of infused daggers and grease, warrior has 3/4 ways to inflicts status effects, but not the ability to make good use of them for synergies, being the only class left out from that possibility.

I’ll try to make myself more clear under here if I haven’t been enough clear until now:

Let’s say that you inflict the “corroding” status effect to a target, using gel, infused dagger or whatever.

Now, magics such as fire, magma, ecc,
fighting styles such as thermo fist, and spirit weapons such as ember staff (was it called like this?) can inflict increased damage to the target.

Warrior instead has no such ability to make use of status effects, since weapons don’t possess affinities other than bleeding.

Would it be a good idea to change grease’s effect from inflicting status effects to giving a weapon an affinity?

Would it make warrior too similar to conjurer?

Should I make this into a suggestion?

They inflict the status effect, but they don’t have the affinity.

You can use them to deal increased damage with magics/FS/spirit weapons that have synergies with those status effects, but they don’t deal increased damage themselves if the target is burning/poisoned.

Weird, I thought they did

Nope.

They do gain the affinity if they are infused with magic tho.

I personally think that if i use charred grease my ember staff should induce petrified
