Yeah I agree with you on that, wish he was handled a little differently to say the least. My dad thought the same, but that’s not what he really cared about compared to Soundwave for some reason.
The silence thing as far as I’m aware was mostly TFP. Both and my dad like it when he talks cause he talks like how you would think a robot would talk and it sounds cool. My dad just didn’t like his voice and that he didn’t do much. I don’t get the former cause he sounded the same to me
This was awesome, glad they really leaned into the fact that the planet itself is a transformer. Kinda cool how their architecture reflects how they function as transformers with stuff with roads transforming so ground vehicle transformers can use them all across the city. Really awesome stuff that the only other place I can say sorta did that sorta stuff with the architecture as well were the WFC and FoC games.
Maybe, but regardless I definitely prefer him talking. He sounds cool and his voicelines like “High Guard eject” in the movie and “Lazerbeak/rumble/etc eject” and “decepticons attack” in other stuff always sound awesome with his voice and robotic demeanor.
Either that or some other liquid that bots could use? Some sort of acidic liquid or maybe oil idk
My favorite transformer is power glide so I’m bummed out I didn’t get to see him in the background for the movie but nevertheless it’s easily a 10/10 for me
Speaking of, I thought the quintessacons were pretty neat too. Kinda dope how they were like these creepy biomechanical monsters, I’m pretty sure that’s unique to this continuity but I haven’t seen much of them in other stuff so I might be wrong. Hoping to see a sorta 3 way war between the Quintessacons, Decepticons, and Autobots in the next movie(fingers crossed it gets a sequel )
Yeah playing halo and this one game series called supreme commander got me really into the concept where 3 or more factions are all duking it out with none of them ever really being on the same side(with a few exceptions when it was cool)
sounds like a 3 way wae for the second movie might be the way to go and have them either beat the quintesscons through an alliance halfway through the movie or near the end
OH HELL YEAH. Easily the best part of the movie, probably the best fight scenes in all of transformers. Extremely clever use of their transformations as well as partial transformations which was especially awesome. Much less of the less creative fights from other media where they basically stay in robot form 90% of the time. I know for cartoons it was probably a more budget issue but man the bayverse had no such excuse lol.
Her fight with Arachnid might be my favorite in the movie. It’s between that and the final fight.
From what I’ve heard Elita dies a whole lot in other transformers media so fingers crossed she lives to see that through
It didn’t ruin the movie for me by any means, but between him dragging the badassatron bit and then the knife hands bit later it was annoying enough to stop me from giving the movie a 10/10. That plus shockwave I feel being a bit mischaracterized. The humor was very hit or miss for me. But there were still funny parts I liked D-16s and Orion’s interactions when they were friends, those were funny and made their friendship very believable.
I liked it in the mid credit part, but I’m ngl I thought it was kinda unfunny and annoying when he first said it and then kept repeating it. I don’t dislike bumblebee in the movie overall, I think he can be funny, but they definitely need to give him a bigger variety of jokes than just repeating the same one like 5 times. At least when he said badassatron in the third act it felt a lot more earned and full circle.
I think he might be a lot older in this continuity? He was down in sublevel 50 for a while and Orion and D-16 probably would’ve known him like the other miners if he was only 12 and got sent down there while they were still working(though they would’ve been told he died. Might be wrong though I’m not sure. Don’t really know how old the other transformers are in this continuity are either.
since they movie seems to take inspiration from shows and comics its likely to assume the main case is at least a couple hundred years old since cybertronians live for either millions or billions of years i forget
i mean they didn’t even know level 50 existed so its possible he got sent down there pretty quickly before anyone got a chance to know him
