I thought it was pretty good. I think most of the main characters were done very well, especially Megatron’s arc which is easily the best part of the movie.
The only sort of big complaint I have was that Bumblebee was kinda annoying. The “badassatron” bit isn’t very funny when you say it 5 times. The same goes for “knife hands”. Shockwave was also kinda lame in this movie, not really the cold calculating character you’d think of and kinda a wuss. But he played a much smaller part and wasn’t nearly as bad as Bumblebee.
That aside I had a great time. The fight scenes are probably some of, if not the, best transformers has ever had.
I saw it with a few friends last week, haven’t seen a single transformers movie before and have only seen portions of two shows (and the angry birds game!!). I went into this movie knowing megatron the bad guy, optimus (fortnite) prime is the good guy, and bumblebee. Its a good movie as far as movies go. I didn’t think ana the sailor was going to be in the movie though so I was surprised when that happened
That seems to be what a lot of people are saving. I found my old copy of FOC in an old moving box the other day and got to play through the whole campaign again for the first time in a long while so that was pretty awesome.
From what I know this seems to be performing poorly but I have been hearing good reviews of it. The first tralier really killed the hyp (including me).
Yeah the trailer shows the worst parts of the movie which only amount to a couple minutes or so at most. The rest of the movie is really good and probably the best transformers movie in the last 2 decades, though competition isn’t very stiff.
Yeah I ended up deciding to see a local film over this. Plus I was never a transformer fan to begin with (saw the 5th one and forgot every single thing).
I feel like this deserved a better run at the box office than certain other films that sucked.
Cheapest copy I found online while I couldn’t find mine for a bit was like $80(USD) . I could only play campaign as my old xbox 360 isn’t connected to xbox live and the servers are no doubt down anyways. It is kinda sad cause I actually bought all the dinobot and insecticon torsos so I could use their transformations in multiplayer(this game has a bit of a bad thing when it came to putting cool stuff behind microtransactions) way back when I first got the game like when I was like 10 or 11 almost a decade ago. Shame I can’t use them anymore. That said the campaign was still awesome probably some of the most fun shit I’ve played even now.
I’m not gonna lie to you, you definitely missed out. I have heard there are some transformers games in the works that we know not much about that people are theorizing might be remakes of WFC and FoC because of something I can’t remember. Personally I wouldn’t hold my breath, but there’s some hope you might get to play the games in their full glory some day in some form.
Wished my dad liked it as much, he grew up with G1 and really like Soundwave and apparently he thought soundwave was lame in this. He still liked it, but gave it a 7/10

Since the movie is the start of the war? Or at least the start of the war against the quintessacons again we’ll start to see sound wave become more badass and take his vow of silence once the war starts yk
Another thing I love is the fact that cybertron is a transforming planet with changing terrain that’s actually really fucking sick
I hope we get more comics and shows that expand upon cybertron as a planet with ecosystem and heck maybe an ocean of some kind?
to be fair (haven’t seen the movie yet and don’t plan to for quite a while) isn’t that pretty much the summary of his character?
i remember in the series he literally switched up on teams like, twice, just cause he sucks up to whoever’s strongest. he also cowers in front of megatron and optimus several times in the series, and betrays them once or twice if i remember correctly, a giant sign of cowardice
also yeah, from what i’ve seen of Bumblebee i don’t really like him all that much. (going back to the one netflix series cause that’s pretty much all the Transformers media i’ve consumed) he was, from what i remember, pretty chill with lots of badass moments, and i think he made a few jokes despite his inability to talk. i don’t remember all that much though so meh
i’d like to watch it but again, i’ve literally seen nothing of transformers, especially not recently, though it’s a series that seems cool so i’ll probably get into it… one day… probably.
You’re thinking of Starscream, Shockwave is the one who’s like a scientist who’s like basically entirely emotionless and only does things he deems “logical” and runs a bunch of fucked up experiments.
