Water Rates Music

Feeling bored, post random music that you like and I’ll rate it out of 10

biased as all hell, just like all reviewers

Just a small dosage of the radioactive slime I love pumping into my listening holes

sir you gave me about 30 minutes of music

do you want me to listen to snippets of each song for the rating or have to listen to them all fully and give my rating from that

your choice honestly, most of the stuff I listen to would give me weird glances in public anyways so go right ahead

(I also listen to tons of VGM but I decided to not post it to spare thee)

(okay here’s like 2 songs)

Song 1.

Fairly alright, I’d give it about a 7/10. Relies far too heavily on repeating leitmotifs from various deltarune/undertale songs, but like twice as many repeats as necessary. Was going to lower it to a 6 but that bridge went hard ngl

Song 2.

5/10 Starts off ok but takes a bit too long for the energy the song wants.
The general main melody feels like it repeats far too much with way too little difference between each repetition. It just keeps repeating the same thing over and over.

Song 3.

8/10. Really strong opening. Instrumental choice goes hard, the rhythm repeats itself but itself isn’t repetitive (ha), has some nice buildup right before the switch at around minute two seconds. Doesn’t really build tension too well though, it feels like the entire song is trying to build up to the next part, which is really, really difficult to do right, alright with not too much payoff.

oh yeah, one last song…

totally normal remix… trust…

I like my Techno Speedcore/Breakcore stuff. Helps me stim.

And no, it’s not a song I made, it’s just something I’ve uploaded to give the artist more exposure.

I love you now, no take-backs.

Song 4.

9/10 Good opening, sets the tone. Transitions pretty well. Keeps doing new stuff that doesn’t feel weak or bland, and it’s main repeating melody goes pretty hard

Might be a bit biased because it’s name is “Firebird” therefore as a russian any reference to my mythology is welcome but the song is pretty good. Not really something I’d listen to constantly though, which is why it’s amazing that it scored this high

if this song isn’t a 10/10 I’m going to do things that society would generally deem “cringe” and “unpoggers”

song 5.

Listened to it before, it’s about a 7/10. Pretty good, but not the greatest.

song 6

7/10 ok this opening goes hard. I love the use of ticking as percussion. However, the use of spider dance as a motif doesn’t really fit with what the opening established. I like the calmer part after the motif is done, calm boss themes with a consistent energy go hard. Might dock a point (I didn’t lol) for using The World Revolving rather than just the secret boss leitmotif at the start of it

song 7

8/10. Honestly scared to rate it higher because it might set a bad standard, but this song is really well made

song 8

8/10 Ok the choir with electric guitar is really cool. Not too much to say, since it’s just a remix of an already really good pokemon theme. Area Zero hits that fucking beautiful sort of battle theme style where it feels like a lament, or well it’s hard to describe. But it’s the sort of fight theme where you know things are going to go down, but it’s turn based such that the guy who has a 70% chance to wipe your team just stands there with a sad look on their face

I love how hauntingly weird area zero sounds in S/V, like, it really sells the vibe that the area it plays in is quite literally not meant to exist.

Though it’s no surprise it’s so great since, Toby fox made the song lol

Limbus, lobotomy, and deepwoken music

(Its annoying picking up links off a phone for me but hey i can use song topics, also peoject moon makes fire)

Ok rate topics if that works!!
