Ok so uh I just realized that the “wave” curse and magic is apparently a blue energy that drains the opponent’s stamina. Seems like just some random mana steal type of magic at first glance until you look at the name.
Waves.
You are controlling waves, of energy. Like, you should be unstoppable, right? Theoretically you could just turn into waves and effectively never get hit since the energy from the attack is redirected elsewhere, or better yet absorb the energy and use it against them since apparently that’s a thing you can do. Could just control light waves? Sound waves? Store them even? Literally no one has talked about the fact a guy with it died despite being able to probably render the slash curse’s attacks ineffective since it’s just energy colliding with his body. Like you can say all day that absorption or grand fire could destroy the world without thinking but at the end of the day those are still made with and interact with energy. Ironically enough wave is probably the best magic to counter absorption since you could just transfer the energy back into you. Perhaps you’d need a person who is unusually good at sensing magic, so I guess you’d only get use out of it with that. But even still you could do so many things with it, you could redirect water away if you’re a curse user, you could create giant shockwaves, perhaps a curse user of the wave could even manipulate gravity and space to move fast as light or outright teleport - and you’re telling me this ain’t ancient and is lost!?
That’s still ridiculously overpowerd. We don’t know how fast he steals magic but presumably enough to make a difference and it to be noticeable. Could he sap someone’s magic energy directly and make it fizzle out while it’s firing? Could he just put his hand on some unfortunate curse user’s shoulder and make them go into a coma? Still really good in his case.
Though arcane reborn wika, theres a good chance that some or most parts of the arcane adventures lore and mechanics are still there considering the arcane adventures wika was completely replaced by the arcane reborn wika
“Elemental Curse Users can phase into their respective element, summon forth the element and manipulate it in any way”
Since wave isn’t even an elemental curse and an external since it doesn’t have any elemental properties:
“External: Users of these curses cannot phase into anything, as they are typically abstract concepts or forces.”
Wave can not phase into anything/transform into anything.
Realistically all it does is drain the energy of somebody over-time but at a stronger rate or something if it was a curse
so it’s a lost yep.
Wave magic right now is planned as a lost magic I believe, it isn’t on the ancient category for magics, it’d be weird if it was an ancient as well unless it was “energy” magic or something like that
I don’t think it’ll ever be an ancient magic or an alternate one to it
unless you were talking about the wave curse being ancient
dawg its just names, its not like the shatter curse lets you control anything shatterable or apocalypse bringer lets you control anything that can bring an apocalypse or death lets you instantly kill anyone
