Weapon Combination

Rare Weapons Technique

A technique created for Warriors to wield two different single-handed weapons at the same time.

How to obtain:

Talking to a npc named “Instructor Mustafa”, (a retired Samerian war veteran, who was known as “Commander Mustafa”, who called back into action despite his age, but refused to fight against the Keraxe) near the Sun Palace, who will give a quest to sink an Armored Keraxe ship. In doing so, the player will be asked if they would like to learn from him.

Req: Level 175, 150 Weapon stat points, 400 galleons

(credits to @sacrificehumans for the idea)

Mechanics

The player will be able to choose two weapons that are to be “bonded” or “combined” with the cost of only being able to use two skills from both weapons (4 skills in total). These “Combined” weapons will not be accessible individually unless unequipped from the “combination section”. These “combined” weapons will occupy only one weapon slot. However, you may only have one slot that uses weapon combination.

Weapons that require dual wield to operate such as bows and muskets. are not able to be “combined”. But multi weapons that are dual wielded such as dual flintlocks, dual katana, and claws are still able to be “combined” with the drawback that only one will be used. Multi flintlocks such as dual flintlocks that are “combined” can fire up to 2 shots or Captain Maria’s flintlocks with 4 shots in a row, but have a longer reload time and slightly decreased firing rate. Weapons when “combined” with similar class/characteristics (example: cutlass and katana) would have their stats on average. (a + b)/2

(example of how “Weapon Combination” would look with Plunderers and Sanguine)

Dual weapons such as dual katana when combined with a gun/dagger will not have access to their skills that require two blades. Claws on the other hand can be “combined” with dual weapons having both claws and both weapons present (like dual katana and claws will both be seen) and still have their skills available. However it still applies that only four skills in total will be used. Imbuements are possible.

Reason to add

Bro let’s be real, probably everyone here (not sure but definitely I) planned/wanted a “tactical” build at some point, and who can say no to this…

Using these…

Can all stat builds do this or is it mainly a warrior thing could oracles do this with spirit weapons.

If it’s not limited to warriors and oracles could a savant dual wield an arcanium and strength weapon?

eventually when we have enough stat points to actually do it then it wont be a warrior thing anymore, but idk, what you think drop it down to like 150 wp stat?

as long as its a single handed weapon i suppose they can

I feel like it shouldn’t be an ability acquired through weapon level but rather an ability you can learn like dodge reflexes so you could find a guy who dual wields a spear and shield and they’ll teach you how to do it

cool… ill edit that in, maybe tomorrow, change more stuff too

sounds cool

Since I’m Savant I’d probably have an Arcanium Katana in one hand and whatever potential Vitality-Weapon hybrid Katana in the other

After consideration I like what this idea could produce and would like to see what could happens but I think there are some factors that need to be determined as what happens with imbuement and what determines which attacks are used when weapons are combine (I d o have an idea for that)

Rename this suggestion to Weapon Dual Wielding it sound better and gives people a clearer idea of what this is and I think it would motivate people more to read this.
