I think it’s more accurate to say God of War Kratos isn’t the same as Greek mythology Kratos, since the site you linked explains that he was named Kratos coincidentally
you did read the entry right? Cratus wasn’t spartan, he wasn’t a demigod, wasn’t remotely mortal, never had a raging boner for Ares and other gods, and very much never had the blades of chaos/athena/exile which was being addressed

you’re suggesting an entire new subtype of weapons bro, Vetex would need to add chain physics for that to happen, or add a grab and pull mechanic. Either way it sounds like too much effort for very little results
