I know that this was a planned feature but it got shafted if not outright scrapped. So i’m gonna make my spin on it.
1_How to use:
I have 2 ideas:
1.In the weapon/relic slots in the inventory there should be a toggle (like the vanity eye toggle) that makes you double slot it. When doing so one weapon/relic slot will be disabled and the other will get the double slot benefits.
At a blacksmith you can merge 2 identical weapons into one weapon/relic which takes 2 weapon/relics spots.
2_How it works:
When a weapon/relic is double slotted, it gains 3 extra skill/rite slots (to match magic/fs). Yes that would mean you lose a skill slot and ult art slot like this which is the downside. The davantage however is having to manage one less tool in your bar.
3_Extra:
This feature will benefit hybrid weapon builds, especially knight and savant, while also helping vanity for those who care (me).
I think it’s better for it to be available for all builds that use weapons/relics.
For example knights have to use 6 slots and a 4way savant has to juggle between 8.
Hell i think the hyvrids will benefit more
for weapons, there would be a weapon crafting system if i recall correctly, like different parts from diff items? idk if that’s been changed but it is the most recent thing i recall, only time i’ve heard abt a 4th slot is other random individuals speaking abt it/hoping for it as a more interesting awakening compared to the first one or smth
For oracle the 2nd planned awakening was never mentioned. Though personally:[1]
due to athena’s pages mentioning legacies controlling their own spirit energy, i personally believe at least a part of orcales 2nd awakening would be getting a tool similar to fighting styles and magic in order to use additional spirit rites instead of just 4th tool, also having 2 different classes have ‘effectively’ the same exact bonus would be lame ↩︎
