Honest to god, this will probably be the last time i try to suggest something regarding a weapon rework.

I dont particularly like this solution so i wont give it much effort. Anyways…

Please make 1 weapon viable…

I feel like vetex really love the weapon system he developed.
Last time i suggested soemthing regarding weapon my approach was to rework how weapons worked, while still making the old system viable. Now i’ll just build on top of it.

Weapon skills

Each weapon has at most 5 skills, right? Great, leave every weapon with 5 skills.

Now give every weapon 3 blank skill slots by default.

If you have one weapon equiped, you have access to all 8 slots. If you equip a second weapon, you only have access to 6 skills slots for each weapon. If you have 3 weapons equiped, you only have access to the base 5 slots just like we have now.

This way, if you only have one weapon equiped, you can use just as many skills as a mage can use spells for a single magic. And the more weapons you have equiped, the less you can extract their individual potential, rendering you unable to use the entire skillset.

So with 1 weapon you have 8 skills, with 2 you have 12, and with 3 you have 15 (which is the weapon behavior we have rn)

That’s it. I honestly hope my other suggestion goes through sometime in the future. But if even this one is added i feel it would be better than what we have

i mean most weapons dont have 8 skills available in the first place so thats kind of a problem
i like the main idea tho, some sort of benefit for using less weapons than you have access to. so long as its not clearly better than bothering to use 3 weapons (because its just harder to manage 3 weapons than 1), ill take it

Most weapons have 5 skills inteded with 3 working right now. The only outliers are weapons of grade so low that they only have 3 skills

I say they should remain as 5 skills, and have an extra 3 blank slots you you can put 3 other skill notes on it for a total of 8 per weapon.

And yeah, i’m suggesting this for the intended endgame rather than what we can do now cause that’s how vetex works in this game

Like, most weapons dont have 8 compatible skill notes, right? Yeah… That’s a shame but they should have by the time we can actually use 5 skills in the current system so i think its fine

Ok, but, also make it so picked up weapons while you have a slot empty aren’t automatically equipped, or else maintaining said 1 weapon will be hell

Its not that it will void the extra skills, its just that they’ll be locked.

But i agree, you shouldn’t be forced to auto equipe weapons regardless, its so dumb that this is a thing
