Highest Towers in the dark sea have the best view ever, especially if you can get one that is so high it leaves the Dark Sea
for me:
lighting is just fine, I was never big on lighting tech it’s a very high diminishing returns rate for me.
textures, again meh they work, same as lighting
Animations are one of the things I would like to see improved/given a style, the best way I can call animations is muted they feel boring.
EX, when using Surge the character’s arms are constantly still, underminding the should be power behind it also hurts the feeling of using Scrolls as you don’t feel any cooler than before

UI is ok, nothing really outstanding for me, but I do think there is a need for a way to minimize the UI or a way to customizable our UI
Abilities and imbuements effects are pretty bad for one, they get in the way of gameplay and not in a good way, things the smoke clouds for toxin for example aren’t clear as to where they start or end, and effects overall also don’t match with the real hitboxes
and besides that, they aren’t the greatest looking as they don’t have a style to even compare it to (you can’t compare water but you can compare juices)
The Sea not as good as it should be (it’s good but still needs to be better), Dark Sea’s rough waters need an overhaul, as much I like the effect it should not get in the way of gameplay, and water clipping is pretty bad,

the game falls right into my uncanny valley of Roblox games where it’s detailed but NOT so detailed to the point where I find the game to look good.
great thing then that I don’t care a lot about visuals, however (nice to have but it doesn’t need much)

A lot of the magic visuals are pretty sick. I love Fire’s particles especially and plasma’s too.
fog NEEDS. to be less common, every other day is foggy
Snow and Sand magic’s tornado-like pillar explosion effects are gorgeous
Acid’s visuals in the 1st revamp were godlike, the PINNACLE of arcane VFX, and I hope vetex considers bringing back the spiral
I also wonder what the magics we didn’t get to see looked like, like crystal. I just really liked the more mesh-based effects from the 1st revamp
fire is cool but I wish it wasn’t the same particle every time, it’s always the same fuzzy, oval shaped one. Sprite sheets would make so many of the magics look so much better, but we only il have one being the exploding cannonballs.
These visuals are actually in-game, just locked behind a super high level.
Yeah, i very much like the high level magic visuals, but we gotta just wait for those to be available in the future.

yeah basically for those who dont know how it works, each spell has i believe 7 tiers, with each tier improving the spells visuals and size, aswell as scaling for energy cost and whatnot.

I would imagine that the spells shown in the video are teir 5, since visual effects seem to only change every 2 teirs. The teir 3 blast is what causes the explosion effect to have that magic’s sphere explosion.
AO’s visuals are perfect for me. Gorgeous and beautiful, but not hyper-realistic or too over the top that even your expensive computer can’t handle it.
In concept, weather and climate is a good idea, but in execution is a mixed bag for me. Fog is frustrating and stupid, tornados feel kinda…awkward? Like they dont actually cause any damage or appear frequent in the normal sea. Also apparently it can snow in Ravenna. Great job guys.
Any location in AO simply looks amazing. A beautiful blend of realism and Roblox.
