Week of Discussion 3: Island Concepts

warding island when

Until hyper inflation hits and now instead of adventuring in the dark sea you’ll be loading and unloading cargo for hours. Which is better is up to you.

the what.

It was a concept not in game. Vet planned for there to be a huge city where you would have to sneak in underground or something.

  1. Really tall pillarlike mountain with fractured, smaller pillars around it, like the mountain got destroyed

  2. Nice snowy place

  3. Trench at the seafloor that leads really, really far underwater with tons of stuff in it

Ooh cool! I was like “wait I have some hundred hours in that game how didn’t I know about a whole tunnel system”

I have PTSDs from that one DS island

I think a forest island (could be snowy, maybe even changes between snowy and sunny) with a little log cabin hidden away would be quite nice to see.

I had an idea for like a Steampunk-like island that uses newer technology to harvest magic pollution in the atmosphere to cast more concentrated magic attacks or smth i just kind of wish there was more variety in the different kingdoms to show how time has progressed and it is starting to break from the sort of medieval part of history maybe

to expand on this idea, i like to think the island was founded by people who could never learn magic in an attempt to match the power of real mages ( as non-magic users will never catch up in terms of power with magic users ) this would add a reason for humanity to progress in technology instead of staying in the same era for thousands of years.

Given the sheer power disparity both physically and politically between magic and non-magic users, you’d think people would be more encouraged to advance technology in an attempt to make non-magic and magic users equal at least physically

thats what i was thinking. knowing how the arcane timeline in the present is pretty close to the time where steam-powered technology ( its actually after ) then i’d assume there would be at least some attempt to harvest magic energy from their surroundings, technically, it sort of has already been done with sailor fist using the magic energy from the sea, so whats stopping people from attempting to harvest magic energy to channel it into attacks without having to know how to actually “use” magic.

You know, I would like to have a marine ford like island for the headquarters of the Grand Navy

And in different seas, each admiral would have their mega fortress

There should be more unique, 1 per server islands like the Epicenter to really emphasize the Dark Sea importance in the verse

Take for example, since Dark Sea water is so polluted with magic energy that many abominations come from it, we could use an island made from a curse user as a visual representation. It’s canon that a Metal curse user created Judgement Isle in AA’s Second Sea, so it’s confirmed that solid materials created from curse users are real. Imagine if a Crystal curse holder comes in contact with Dark Sea’s seawater and they legit just exploded into a giant man-made(?) island made entirely from crystals.

Me when I’m a giant red monster standing in the ocean carrying a lot of sand on my back along with a palm tree and a nice cabin

waterbreathing and sharkrepel and pray a white eyes doesnt spawn

I think you missed the part about “immense oceanic pressure that could crush you easily because it’s that deep underwater”

nah id live

15,750 psi

Not even the strongest ironskin potion is saving you tbh.

Only way to get down there would be like, having to use some sort of portal

(or maybe taking a ride in the mouth of some special fish that can handle it)

nuh uh
