[WEEKLY PROMPT] Shocking Consequence

Vegetation burned and emitted a harsh aroma. A dark cloud of cinder arose from the land to alert distant eyes of impending conflict. The indigo bolt barely missed its target, though that seemed almost intentional.
“Did you truly believe that I would not have been able to locate you, boy?” The Lightningmancer patronized, “Your sins will never evade you, heretic, and neither shall judgment.”
The deep blue lightning dissipated from the ominous man’s arm as gravity finally decided to bring him down and his long white hair danced from the descent. Orzan’s eyes tracked the man as he watched him fall back down to Earth and desperately attempted to retrieve the breath that Fright had stolen from him.
“I served Lord Torrence with utmost loyalty for years, Kross. I owe him no debt. We both know you are only here for currency. Because of my empathy, I will refrain from causing you harm for now, but if you insist on pursuing me, then you rob me of any other choice.” Orzan warned.
Kross grew agitated, involuntarily causing sparks to flourish from his being.
“Insult my morals, you dare!? Do you believe that I would place mere cash before loyalty to Lord Torrence!?” Kross spat, “Disrespecting my being will never be tolerated, you sinner. Now, you have only awarded yourself death.”

Kross guided his hands in a square motion and ended with a clap before unleashing a colossal cube of dark blue electricity towards Orzan. The projectile ignited the land, turning the once luscious area into a hellish black and orange battleground. Orzan rolled backward and struck his arm forward, creating a massive sound breaking boom, reducing the oncoming death cube into nothingness and extinguishing the surrounding flame. The smoke in front was gone, as was Kross. Orzan threw his attention up to Kross’s lightning encased legs as they came down to perform a dropkick. Orzan swiftly launched himself a few feet away with a kick to the ground, but Kross’s quick reaction time got the best of him. Kross blasted Orzan with a fierce bolt of lightning, throwing Orzan dozens of feet.
There lay Orzan’s husk of a body, jolting around from the immense energy raging throughout it. His eyes were popped out of his skull, the left eye ending up a foot away from his skull but still attached to a fleshy string. Smoke from his seared organs found its way to freedom by escaping from out his ears, empty eye sockets, and gaping mouth. His mouth, scorched into a permanent terrified-looking manner, stretched open larger than what anyone could imagine from a human. Orzan’s face had been melted enough to where his chin now reached slightly below his mammary gland. Kross crouched by Orzan’s obliterated body, closed his eyes, held his head down in respect.
