[Weekly Writing Challenge] First Test Run!

Hello writers! This is going to be the first of many hopefully, so here is the premise of what a writing challenge is.

Unlike a prompt, a writing challenge is much more specific and detailed and requires the author to adhere to the rules of the challenge. This makes the writer engage with the challenge more and hopefully brings out better content.

To those that want to participate in this, remember to title your topic with “[CHALLENGE] Title”!

CHALLENGE ONE:

You are a criminal that has been captured by the ruling government of Magius. Your crimes are heinous, and normal citizens are relieved to hear the news that you have finally been captured and behind bars. As you awaited for the inevitable trial that will unanimously vote in favor of ridding you from the world, a minor slipup results in you towering over your personal captor, broken chains around your wrist, and an anger that cannot be quenched.

You must write a story right after this moment, and you can only write in the first person perspective.

One of the weekly challenges should be that you have to rhyme the whole thing

me, a devout follower of the 3rd person christian faith: https://youtu.be/hYAQtEs2Img

xael out there destroying 3rd person writers

I write in both third and first person.
Firestorm is in third because it’s got a ton of characters and I want to make it seem more like an epic, not a narrative.
A Tale of Glass and Roses is third because it’s a fairy tale.
But usually I write in first for true narratives.

Oh man first person is going to be hard but let that percy jackson knowledge swoop in

time for stupidly funny although somehow professional narration

perfect summary of percy jackson’s narrative. 10/10 book reviewer of the year

briares lets play rock paper scissors

Gun.

Xael, how long is the challenge?
