(I should prolly put a trigger warning, cuz there will be blood in my dream, I won’t describe in too much detail tho. I’m not an American speaker either)
hi guys I’m new to the forum and idk if I can share stuff like dreams here.
So I’m pretty much used to having weird dreams (I had a whole dream journal with 140 dreams but sadly I lost it so it’s a story for another day). And having weird dreams about my favorite games especially. But today’s one was weird to the point that it was quite disturbing.
In this dream, it was from the point of view of my main file (Alden Valk, sand savantlord, his face you can see on my pfp), and for some reason I decided to go into the dark sea all alone. I didn’t went to dark sea since winter, because uh: 1) it’s boring to go alone, 2) my average ping is +100 and it can spike up to 10k. But it’s a dream so I guess it’s okay. It’s also worth mentioning that I don’t have chat (not because of age verification but because chat is banned in my country) but somehow I was able to communicate with other people that somehow joined me on this journey.
In this particular dream, dark sea wasn’t separated in layers of insanity, but in something that here they called “Book of Nightmares I”, “Book of Nightmares II”, etc. Apparently you had to go through 5 “books of nightmares” which all were based of unique challenges to get to, I assume, epicenter?
And in the first layer, I meet some player that somehow connected to me via call. Sadly I forgot the first 3 layers (prolly due to how easily you can forgot your dream after waking up), and on the 4th one we meet another player… Who for some reason had the avatar of the Handsome Squidward… (I’m not joking, it was all in my dream).
That’s where the dream become slightly disturbing.
The challenge of the 4th book was placed in a forest (not the usual one in dark sea), the trees were standing around closely to each other creating “walls” around the place. The challenge itself? The three of us (me, player and Handsome Squidward) had to jump on the pathways on the ground while avoiding stepping on the grass (how ironic). Sounds quite easy, right? The thing is… Handsome Squidward failed right on the final part. He accidentally stepped on the grass, and his steps become bloody. The final place of the 4th challenge was near someone’s grave, and with the next events, I assume it was prepared for Handsome Squidward player.
That’s where things got even more bloody. Handsome Squidward player got attacked by a big animal (either a wolf or a bear), and the noises of his last moments (which included both screams and growl of the animal) were quite loud. I even saw his shiny blood appearing on my screen, like it got on the face of my main file.
The dream ended with us entering the 5th book of nightmares… And for some reason we appeared inside a real-life world city that closely reminded me of mine town.
Sadly that’s where it ended, cuz my alarm woke me up. Idk why but the concept of “dark sea being separated in layers of personal challenges with unique tests” is quite interesting, but I also suppose you should get something more hard than “jump on the right pathways and avoid stepping on grass” on 4th layer.
Uhhh i don’t really know how to end this post, prolly with a question: have you ever had weird dreams about arcane odyssey?
