Do you think that canonically, warlords have to be really buff and muscular to be powerful? or can you just have really good technique and be magical which allows you to accomplish things?
For example, could some average athletic built warlord with a lot of magical energy and good technique in his fighting style, be able to compare to a warlord who’s really buff and uses their brute strength more?
also I know the halberd and lance are probably both really heavy but do you think that being very magical and having decent weapon knowledge could also help in being able to carry them?
magics got very little to do with it, most it does is just harness the latent energy in your body
you dont have to be a 7’4 shredded juggernaut to be a warlord, plus theres the fact that in a lot of cases in the aa world physical appearance does not equal strength
warlords definitely need muscle though you cant say that a strength build needs no muscle
yeah argos had zero magical talent so that’s why he had to become super buff
but on the other hand, if you were very magically talented, or skilled in magic, and you practiced with weaponry and the techniques for fighting styles a lot, maybe that could substitute?
you just gotta have muscles and some weapon skill. magic talent isnt really necessary, as no matter what after a certain point you use latent magical energy
if you throw magical talent into the mix then youre just a savant at that point
Its not that he had zero magical talent, its that his magic manifested differently, or some variation of that language. Fighting and weapon skills are imbued with magic.
