Welcome to Headcanon Hell

Warning Large Walls of text coming up

Iris
  • Her last name is Lasadh (Meaning flare or light up in scottish gaelic)
  • She was born with Flare magic, but only opened her first mind somewhat recently
    • That or her family had the scroll as an heirloom or something, and it was given to her after her father’s disappearance.
  • Her father was a good man and a good dad
  • She worked with her father in his forge, meaning she has at least some muscle
  • She wanted to be a smith like her dad
  • Due to her father’s renown as a smith she knew many of the officers in the Bronze Legion
    • This includes the Ulricus family
    • General Julian was a friend of her fathers, and she looked up to him like an older brother
  • She is actually quite intelligent, she just doesn’t think thing through very often
  • Her pale skin is because of her father being from Winterveil, which is the official reason he was killed.
  • Her father was a fire mage
  • Follower of the Protector
  • Her dad’s first name was Lawrence
Morden
  • Was a bit of drifter even before the Order captured him
  • Enjoyed traveling around the seas, and seeing different cultures
  • Don’t know why but Morden strikes me as a scholarly type, he would spend most of his time in towns either in the library or talking with people about the history of the place he’s in.
  • Before he obtained his curse, he was a shadow user
  • Taking this from the fanfic Keep you Steady on Ao3: Morden is a very good artist
  • He isn’t actually goth or edgy, he just has low body temp and wears black clothes to keep him warm. This is exacerbated after taking the curse.
  • The moodiness shown in the game is more a result of the harrowing events he just experienced, if you met him before his trauma you would meet a warm and bright young man.
  • After the events of the story, hundreds of years after the Peacekeeper’s Curse Crusade. Morden is one of the few Curse bearers left, and becomes essentially the grim reaper in most folk lore.
  • Knows that gods existed, but doesn’t believe they should be worshiped.
Neviro
  • Gets called old often, due to his white hair and sun weathered face
  • Would be a great public speaker, if he had anyone left to lead
  • Goes on to help rebuild Ravenna as Revon’s advisor
  • Is truly menacing with a spear, but has little idea for dealing with magic
  • Is older than most of the group, at least in his late twenties to early thirties
  • Has a surprising repository of folklore that he gathered from his time traveling the sea.
  • Got used to sleeping very lightly as any sound could be a Ravennan death squad.
  • Has vivid nightmares about the destruction of Winterveil.
Revon
  • Saw the destruction of the Blasted Rock, as a result he dislikes confrontations
  • He blames himself for Calvus’s death
  • The sword he carries is an heirloom, and is actually ceremonial not made for combat
  • See’s Argos as a father figure
  • He’s a very public figure often talking with the citizens of Ravenna, even those in Tiberia
  • Grew revolted at the Winterveil exterminations, but his respect for Calvus was to much to speak against it
  • Has tried multiple times to court a partner, but every time has led to either rejection or in one case a murder plot
Calvus
  • Was traumatized by the destruction of the Blasted Rock, but in a different way than Revon. Instead of rejecting conflict, Calvus became willing to do anything for Ravenna.
  • He actually wanted to help Tibera prosper, but his superiors in the Order forbade it for some reason.
  • More of a Revanna headcanon, but putting in the Calvus section
    • The Winterveil exterminations were no secret, and the royal family had a large propaganda arm to ensure that the genocide would go unquestioned. While some Ravennan citizens spoke out against it, well we know what happened to them.
    • Most of the population was complicit with the genocide, believing it to be for the good of Ravenna. Those who spoke out ended up in the Eternal Mines.
    • After his death, it took many months for Neviro and Revon to change Ravenna’s attitude regarding Winterveil, even having to stop an attempted coup.
  • Most of Calvus’ victories in things like sparring matches, was because he was king stunting his skills
  • Calvus did truly wish to be a good king, and would have been if not for his family’s prejudice towards Winterveil and his ties to the Order. However, whenever he could he tried to do what was best for Ravenna.
  • His adopting of Frostmill as a protectorate, had more to do with the Order’s interest in the Vastus remains found there.
  • He regularly used the Order’s resources to strengthen Ravenna, making him rather unpopular with the rest of the High-Lords.
Julian
  • Struggles with self-worth issues, always striving to prove himself.
  • He somewhat resents the Glass-Curse for turning him transparent, allowing people to see right through him.
  • Isn’t actually all that loud or braggadocious, he merely used that as a facade when facing the MC due to his fear of them.
  • Both despises and fears the MC for what they did at Fort Talos.
  • Was a friend of the Lasadh family
    • His armor was actually forged by Iris’s father as a gift for when he was promoted to general.
    • He was devastated by Lawrence (Iris’s father) execution
    • Was worried that Iris had shared the same fate after she disappeared from Ravenna
  • Cares deeply for the men he commands, and tries everything in his power to ensure they come back safely.
  • Is not part of the Order, he is just a man who is incredibly loyal to his homeland
  • Has nightmares about the Winterveilans he’s executed, often entire families were killed.
Curses
  • Most of the external curses made after the war contain the last remnants of different god/titan’s energies.
    • Ex: Growth (Contains Persephone or Demeter, personally I like the idea of Persephone being in there as it gives more a reason for Hades to despise humanity.)
  • Curses do have wills and impulses but those with strong wills are able to resist them.
    • Ex: Morden constantly has the desire to speed the decay of things, such as plants, buildings, and people.
  • The paper and ink curse do exist, they are held by the people who run the Agora. This is how the paper automatically updates.
    • Personally I headcanon, and am writing in a story, that the Juraserva are a couple with their names being Sean (Ink Curse) and Josephine (Paper Curse).
      • Sean is like 5’2 or 5’3, but definitely smaller than 5’7. Short king
      • Josephine is 7’2 due to her being a descendant of the Vastus
      • They are both >300 but look to be in their early 30s
Sky Island
  • Sky islands and kingdoms are more advanced on average than the Sea Kingdoms
    • Ex: Fulguratricity, their word for electricity. Called as such, due to its reliance on lightning arch spheres as a power source. Used for lights, heat, and everything else that 1800s society used electricity for.
    • Ex: Their development of black powder has advanced to the level of the civil war. With rifles and revolvers becoming commonplace.
