So apparently, this guy named Ambanes in sailors lodge “was” an “oracle”, and he had a spirit staff that used the same model as the Staff of Night, so Vetex instated that he instead bought some fake spirit weapon that did nothing.
now, with the release of Spirit weapons on the horizon, we’ll be decently close to that reality: in our current situation, people sell SSwords without the Rising Tide skill, which is about Half the swords value, due to it being an exclusive skill. You might see where this is going;
Because spirit weapons come with 2 unique skills, people are obviously going to do the same thing with spirit weapons, leaving people buying “fake” weapons that dont have the necessary rites
while we could resolve this, it makes Ambanes 100% cannon, and serves as an easy reminder to people to always “read the fine-print” before trading so how would you feel if this was kept as a “feature” .
This is why when your buying weapons with unique skills, you DON’T be an idiot, and make sure to check if it has the skill or not.
Literally all it takes to avoid getting scammed by this is a simple button hold.
There are two types of rites, unique and regular.
unique ones are ones such as Astrapikis and Nichtaplia, those can only be put on their respective spirit weapon.
regular rites such as spirit blast, hound, and rain can be put on any spirit weapon however.
Its like how you cant put Rising Tide on anything but SSword, but you can put tiger rush and flying phoenix on other weapons.
its solely because you might not want to use those unique skills; even if they cant be put on another weapon, you still need to be able to mix your weapons skils/rites around.
