This is something I want to gain attention before I possibly make a suggestion on this.
So a bit ago, I made a thread about good suggestions Vetex should save for post-full release, and I have been scrolling through this hecate rant thread:
So I thought, well because the people want a non-RNG based method of changing the first magic, I thought, well we already have that but nobody ever showed this attention:
Instead of collecting fragments, you would sail into the far reaches and have an, chance of accessing this dungeon through an uncommon portal (its uncommon but of course its difficulty makes it mostly not even worth trying unless you are with a highly skilled and powerful group) located within a far reach siren rock (mutated sirens).
There would be about 30-50 waves of enemies of daemons and ghost warriors each getting more powerful until they reach the boss which would be an extremely old (fracture old) and POWERFUL wizard (Not lore related, but changing first magic either and nor is traversing the dark sea, vetex) and when you have fought long and hard, and had beaten him, he explodes into magic energy (durza/acheron reference) and a gate opens leading to the six crystals aligned into a pentagram or ritualistic circle, in which you meditate, a cutscene plays, and it gives you the option of which magics to change your first into.
Now you may say, “wait why do daemons and ghost warriors fight you?”, well hecate is the goddess of crossroads and magic, due to her domain over the path to worlds, the wizard harnesses her power with the crystals he’s found and uses a powerful spell to summon creatures and restless spirits from the underworld.
HOW DARE YOU TRY AND SUGGEST A MECHANIC THAT MAKES SENSE AND DOESN’T RELY ON HUMAN SUFFERING!!! I’M GONNA GET YOUR MANAGER SMH!1! In all honesty though I’m so tired of the rng wave in video games. Difficulty is one thing, but there’s a difference between that and just downright frustration. If only we had some kind of item that was a drop from a fort raid or smth
in all seriousness, as much as id like for magic to be more easily changeable, i doubt it would happen because vetex wasn’t already keen in the first place about being able to change your magic.
I dont care about the difficulty, its that you think hectaes power manifestation shouldnt be able to alter your magic even though thats her whole thing…
the humble pulsar, you can cope all you want i doubt hecate essences mechanic is ever gonna get changed
the only thing i see being changed is its spawn rate, and im pretty sure in full release your able to sense hecate essence so you should be grateful your gonna be given ESP.
You acting stupid and deliberately ignoring the part where I said it wouldn’t be easier, it is simply a different method. I’m pretty sure this is why they said never argue again
