it’s really helpful, though due to a rework the damage percentages aren’t accurate
ash would be a really good choice! if the target is burning using ash on them will petrify

There’s a sort of petrification triangle between fire, ash, and explosion where if you have any two of these magics you’ll be able to petrify your opponent. Though for your question, since you don’t want explosion, I would say any other heat based magic such as magma or acid would be nice to get.
