Asking because I’ve been using Earth as my second and I’m honestly pretty torn on it.
My thinking was that because Shadow has no synergies I’d go with something that would obscure the enemies screen even more and much up the battlefield a bit with blocks of earth.
But with second magics not having full size at the current max level it’s not as effective as I imagined it would be.
if you wanna obscure the enemy’s screen try snow or light
Light has a negative interaction with Shadow so I’ll pass. Snow is a solid suggestion though.

Negative interactions do not reduce damage when you inflict them. So, you can do it without losing damage (it also does not remove the status effect).
I mean yeah I get what you mean, but second magic’s are inherently not going to be as good as the first so I’d like some incentive to use it.

It was added just before AO but I am not sure if it has changed over time.
