When it comes to killing a curse user, what do you think would be the best method? This can also depend on the type of curse, the actual user of it, the environment, what you’re provided with, etc. Like lets say you’re tasked with killing the apocalypse bringer user, what do you think the best way of going about it would be, discuss.
Train a magicless peasant in stealth and give them an adequately sized devourer dagger
Yeah but most curse users are hard to reach, like they’re either generals, rulers or really, really powerful captains or some random guy chilling on a rock in the middle of nowhere, a peasant isn’t gonna be able to get to those guys, but I mean do give them some crushed up luminous coral and then we’re talking
Liara and Allanon got themselves shanked in broad daylight with Allanon’s personal bodyguard right there, it can’t possibly be that difficult
That’s skyhall, they’re a relatively small kingdom and the curse users that do matter are either gonna have 10 guards with them or they’re just gonna notice you coming and kill you instantly, if a curse user is that dumb to let you get close enough to do that to them then they’re probably not a very important target (beringer got attacked by Argos, Elius and a whole squad of the order and he only had the cloud curse he doesn’t count imo)
do it offscreen
Don’t give Vetex any more ideas
What size does a devourer have to be to work properly?
Could you make one into an arrow or something?
No knowledge on that. The most we’re given is that it’s an extremely potent arcanium… so it could potentially be many different types of weapons.
I’d assume that there’s some threshold that needs to be crossed for a curse to be successfully extracted, though, so no bullets would work.
This is why you train the peasant into a proper warrior while keeping their magic energy at a bare minimum. Strike at night and be as quiet as possible. It’s also never a one man job (unless you’re a curse user or powerful mage). For the peasant strategy, you need some form of bait (preferably from within, a bribed soldier if they’re a ruler?) to get the curse user into a proper position.
If you want to face them head on (and you’re a heat mage), cover yourself in arcanium armor, wear a cloak, and strap devourer to the inside of the cloak. Get as close as possible, burn off your cloak and grab the devourer as it falls. Boom, now you’re in the face of a Curse User while holding a devourer. Should be easy from there.
While the curse user is sleeping put concrete over their feet to make concrete shoes and then throw them into the ocean.
Best way would be to assassinate them, take them out before they can react. Any seasoned curse user is probably going to be able to go on the defensive with their power at the drop of a hat, however, and they may have some unique means to detect danger beyond normal senses (I’m guessing normal sensing wouldn’t be as effective against good assassins), so this will take a lot of preparation and perfect execution. Do this wrong, and you lose what better have been your best assassin and they’ll go to ground or wind or whatever they have to make themselves scarce, and then you’ll have a real hard time defeating them, especially now that you’ve angered an individual that knows to stay hidden, and can take out an entire island, maybe an entire nation.
Going curse against curse would be the most reliable way in theory, but you’re risking your curse as well, and now it’s up in the air who has the favorable match-up. If you want to win, a fair fight is not what you want. If you are going this route and can do so, it may be a good idea to bring any friends or family that have curses to the fight as well, to odd the evens.
An ambush could work, but it’d need one of two things: either somewhere closed off where they have to go through you to escape, or you’ll need people with the ability to stay on the target curse if they make a break for it. If you aren’t trying to get the curse, throw as much effective firepower at the target as possible right from the start. Once you’ve spent all the big hits you can on the curse user, if they’re alive, send everyone in to keep the pressure on.
If you are trying to get the curse, keep your devourers close enough to move in when the time is right, otherwise keep them on the defensive, and keep the pressure on the curse user after the opening barrage until they get worn down. Even though you want them alive, it’d still be wise to open with enough powerful attacks to get the curse user weakened, maybe they’ll burn their gas tank inefficiently to try and shake off the pressure. Just be careful to not accidentally waste the curse user before you can stick them with the devourer, hence the focus on wearing them down rather than nuking them.
If they have anything outside of themselves that they care about, target it, the more vulnerable and defenseless the better. They’ll move to defend it, expend effort to defend it, and that’s an opening you can use to defeat them. Alternatively, give them a compelling reason to fight you on your home turf, on your terms, make them feel they have no choice but to go into the lion’s den. If you have this scenario, wear them down as much as you can on the way, but don’t reveal all your cards until he’s too far in to flee - or too committed to consider fleeing.
tl;dr: Jump them, use overwhelming force, don’t let them escape, if they have priorities other than self-defense, hit those priorities
bro talk like he fought one before
Bro gave the whole wired autocomplete interview
i have a theory that sailor style and sunken weapons are very dangerous towards curse users
Maybe… although I think that the sunken weapons might only produce normal water, but sailor’s style might have enough salt in it to simulate the dangers posed by normal seawater to curse users.
therefore, grab a cfister and order it to chuck toxic seawater bottles at the curse user
Dont worry frend I will fight them ![]()
