I’d use magic and a bucket of sea water
I have thought of one theoretical way to deal with a Curse User that works without employing the use of Devourers or other expensive Anti-Sea Curse measures. This maneuver can only work if a curse user is somewhere near the ocean. If they aren’t, you will be forced to somehow lure them there.
First, you have to find a sufficient amount of Strong Individuals to act as distractions while a mage (with a preferably fast flight speed, like Explosion, Light and Etc.) charges an Ultimate Flight Spell. Once it’s charged and a great opportunity arises, they are commanded to RAM the foe and quickly slam them into the Ocean.
This mage has to be equipped with special ramming armor (as to not be reduced to Red Mist when charging into a Giant Metal Titan) and additionally this mage has to be an individual with great determination (So they don’t stop charging even if the curse user gravely injures them)
There are indeed a whole bunch of risks/problems with this plan. Including but not limited to -
- The Curse user quickly recovering, then rebuilding themselves (As shown with Julian) out of the rammer’s grasp, (the rammer would have to somehow knock them out with the ram to prevent this.)
- The rammer missing the opponent at a high speed, making further ramming completely futile due to the Curse User now being aware of the danger.
- The retrieval of the curse is impossible once the plan is successfully executed, even if the rammer catches the curse flying out of their enemy (Because they’re still underwater when it happens…)
Positives:
- It’s cheap…?
- Aura
- Nothing else, really.
Only really powerful curse users blow up in contact with the sea, though. The rest will feel a lot of pain, but unless knocked far from land, they can get out and continue fighting.
I suppose it’s alot easier to fight a curse user once they’ve been hit by a truck going at roughly Mach Fuck and then plunged into, what is essentially, The Inferno

do people actually think its the salt that makes seawater dangerous to curse users
adding onto this
its the magic polluted sea itself thats dangerous to curse users not just sea water
if you scoop out the sea water and splash it onto them it doesnt do much
dip them in the sea? their body being made of magic energy makes contact with the massive amount of magic energy spread out across the whole ocean causing them to get messed up or die violently depending on how strong their curse is
yep, in scrapped WoM lore curse users can deep dive freely bcs the magical pollution has faded away by then lol
No, seasoning the curse user hurts them, so you could just put some pepper or cardamom on them and then splash some water on them and boom, dead curse user.
I mean, i assume it’s the salt within the water that conducts all that Magic Radiation.
Radiated Sea Salt being fused with steel in the making of Arcanium, indicates that Sea Salt can hold magic within itself. Which should be the logical reasoning behind sea water being affected by magic.

Iris was a hero, we just didn’t see it…
Take cannonfist, bring a devourer cannonball, equip full aim build, then start a fleet battle so that they don’t expect this move as there are tons of cannonballs fired and finally do one precise shot.
basically what happened to morock
arcane government w once again
wonder if devourer harpoons exist because getting up and close to a curse user doesnt really seem like a good idea
like barraging the curse user with ballistae and arrows which they usually can just ignore by letting them phase through because they arent magical and then suddenly they get hit with a devourer harpoon.. Free eats (✿
