What are your odds of getting a sunken in luck parties? + how useful is luck 3 solo?

In a luck 5 party, with an optimal fishing enchantment (tell me whatever that is), about how many does it take to catch a sunken? Or even, with X amount of people how many parties would it take until one of them gets one?

Also tell me if luck 3 is any good. Not for hosting a party with randoms obviously, but maybe making some with island cloud extract (to do with friends) or even just drinkable, is it a decent alternative for diving/dark sea/fishing if you can’t afford the leg fish scales?

0%.

Ok rb1

idk how fishing rods and enchants affect the rates but i do know that luck 3 makes sunkens a 1/1200 and luck 5 makes sunkens a 1/200, both with wooden rods and no enchants (base rates). As for diving, the rates are 1/300 with luck 5 and 1/1800 with luck 3. As for dark sealeds, luck 4+ guarantees scrolls (both exotic and rare spells/techniques/vindicators) and luck 3 helps a good bit too. So luck 3 is actually pretty good since its cheap and still boosts your rates by a good amount (40%)

As for the optimal fishing rod and enchant, its prolly ensnaring bronze rod since youll be catching very often and itll work towards pity.

better to make a brew cuz if you use island cloud extracts, your friends will only get 1 very weak tick of luck.

edit: i mentioned that luck 4+ guarantees exotic scrolls and rare spells/techniques/vindicators but that still does NOT make them viable. If you have legendary scales ALWAYS go for luck 5 since youre paying double the price in scales for triple the boost

Ok so my only dark sea rod enchants rn are Graced (put on a bronze rod) and Treasurer (still a scroll)

with graced bronze and luck 3 do you think I could at least make the golden fish scales back or nah?

is the golden pot necessary for luck 5 potions, and how hard is it to find? My friend and I died stupidly while trying to find one after we collected a lot of sealed chests on the way (which was stupid in hindsight i should have skipped straight to insanity 2)

and thanks for your answer

Graced bronze will definitely help you get back the golden scales youve used. Idk if a regular brew will be long enough but i expect a shiny or gilded brew to do the trick. Luck 3 is not worth using dark sea essentia (aura catalyst) on imo, keep those for luck 5.

If you want to maximize your legendary scales then yes, it is necessary. Golden cauldrons double the duration of your potions while silver cauldrons only boost the duration by half (1.5x). Btw max brewing skill is important too, iirc it boosts potion durations by 1.25x. As for how hard golden cauldrons can be to find, it depends on your ship speed and if you have clearsight. High ship speed = getting to i2-i3 becomes trivial and clearsight helps you spot islands. I recommend going to i3 since i3 islands are usually larger and therefore have a better chance of a golden cauldron. Nonetheless the time you spend trying to find them is heavily rng based (pray to rngesus )

My ship speed is fine and I have max brewing, the main problem for me is atlanteans because I don’t have much invisibility stuff but I didn’t think to use clearsight or revealing potions.

I heavily recommend a high agility set and to stock up on t1 invisibility reagents. Bypassing atlanteans is amazing

already over 220

well i mean could be way higher but it’s just part of my normal build

Thats high enough imo

Lucky Parties always use Aura (Dark Sea Essentia) because their the most effective.

And luck parties always use luck 5
I mentioned brews because using dark sea essentia on luck 3 is a waste. I also mentioned that you should use auras for luck 5 because they last the longest

yea no shit sherlock who would want to do a luck party if it werent luck 5
:skull:
