4chan is a group of (mostly) degenerates that can sometimes do amazing things
lots of funny things, and also lots of weird messed up things. I prolly wouldn’t go near there anytime soon

It exists and honestly can be funny. Also the embodiment of the most important rule of the internet: Take nothing seriously. And don’t piss it off, that’s another important rule.
the fact that Cicada 3301 reached out to 4Chan first during its puzzles shows just how much of a joke the whole mystery is.
