So we’ve all heard of absurdly high dark sea islands, breaking through the dark sea fog and so on. The type that take 40+ minutes to climb (weaklings lmao).
But do you guys know if there are any strategies to find them, stuff like what sort of island generation would be likelier for a farlands generation, ways to spot them, and stuff like how rare they usually are. Are they more common the further out you go? How exactly does the bug that causes them to appear work? These are the sorts of things I wanna know.
I REALLY wanna find one and climb them, but with the current ugly, annoying slog that the dark sea is, I wanna know any possible ways to make it more bearable.
(as a side note, why is the dark sea so purple and ugly? I ngl was expecting it to look more like how it looks like when you’re under a storm cloud, complete with the nicer, blue fog, rather than a bit too dark, purple and waves absolutely everywhere making it noisy and annoying, with a soundtrack that’s fine until you’re on your third hour and going insane)
I’ve noticed that past insanity 2 the island generations start to really ramp up in size, both width wise and height wise. Currently I’d say insanity 2 would be a good place to start looking for these peaks.
I’m not sure that’ll work. For one, wider islands would get more annoying to check, atlantean brigs will be the objectively worst decision I have to deal with, and the sighting of these farlands islands always seemed to be rather close to the bronze sea
islands that are tall is not the same as island that breaks the skybox for the dark sea, and so far the cases that I’ve seen were about 25 seconds or so from the bronze sea on a brig
with 201+ agility you can constantly spam teleporting high jumps which send you straight up, without needing something like a mobility skill to dash toward the wall again
