Recently Vetex added the idea of a paid vanity battle pass to the trello
I personally don’t like it since if the items are tradeable it would make season one items very valuable and mess with the economy, but I wanted to see what everyone else thought.

It’ll definitely be more harmful to have pay wall tradeable as opposed to time limited. Hell, the time limited can always come back during the same time period once AO is released

Plus in a traders perspective i strongly doubt they’ll be harmful anyway. They’ll be so many of them they’ll hardly retain value. (Example being the july seasonals from 2020)

I think they will retain value, simply because the amount of people buying will probably be equal to headless, plus if you have to earn the rewards the last tiers could be more valuable than headless.
Theres such a thing as a free “battle pass” plus I’m not sure if you noticed from the tone of vetexs message he’s quite unsure lf the idea

Completely disagree, your opinion that the last tiers being worth more then headless is mad inaccurate. Headless will be over 2 years old by the time ao releases, with even less in the community then there is now. The last tiers will be newer, with many more in the economy.
Shit never thought about that. Its a large possibility that they’ll just be items you can get normally with another chance of unlocking them through the pass
if you have to unlock the items the higher tiers would be in a lower supply since they take longer to obtain
As i said thats not going to be the case of a lower supply then a headless

The chance that it’ll be something you have to pay for is low, as I said before, vetex isn’t a scumbag. Plus as you said nobody will pay for vanity items. If they are locked behind a paywall, they won’t be tradeable

I feel like season one wouldn’t be as valuable as season 2 or 3. There would be more players for the first season but we’ll have to see
