Ok so from some light research the head has arbiters, claws, and a third thing I don’t know the name of or what they do
claws are a pain in the ass in lob corp and have 3 singularities
arbiters are even more of a pain in the ass and the one we fight in lob corp is supposedly significantly weakened, despite being stronger than the red mist still
so I think v1 may be cooked, but the head doesn’t actually fight anything unless it breaks their rules so assuming v1 isn’t sentient he should be fine

Just because v1 is capable of doing something since it’s a gameplay feature, doesn’t mean that it canonically actually does that in combat.
Yeah you can beat gabriel in about 3 seconds but his dialogue implies that v1 very much did not do that.

no I had this in the back of my mind for a while but considering how the opposition often uses logical paradoxes I’d assume they’d bullshit their way into saying how “oh everything in the game is canon guys trust me!”

by your statement of saying that all gameplay is canon, you just automatically admitted to the fact that V1 actively needs a player to control it.
and without anyone to pilot V1, it won’t do anything.
