What happens to PvPers when Full Release drops?

I think little will change and would benefit those players who quit the game because they kept getting hunted one way or another, and the game would then feel a lot more welcoming to those who just want a friendly experience.

If you mean pvpers as in people who just want to fight for fun/rack up kills, if they have friends not much would change :stuck_out_tongue:

For the bounty hunters/world pvpers who rack up potions or groups of people to kill leaderboard players, I doubt it’d also make any change as it just filters out the dudes who don’t want any pvp and allat.

Eh maybe except to those sky hunters who keep using sky ships to jump people lol

The way this says is just kind of odd. We’re just considering PvP players in this scenario, ā€œoh yeah guys the PvPe’rs are the one’s suffering and not the PvEr’s they’ve constantly ganked for the past yearā€ Not saying that all PvP players are bad I’m just saying that they’re not the ones this game is designed for.

Feature’s not as bad as people say (yes i am biased there’s no shame in it I couldn’t care less about the game’s combat, if I did I’d be playing Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 instead)

but again, it’s a hassle for people who PvP because they have to turn it on and off constantly whenever they move servers and stuff

I feel like it could be a good change if we give people who PvE a reason to turn on PvP toggle. Like maybe if you turn ON the toggle you get extra rewards, like a 1.3-1.5x exp and currency boost to quests and stuff if you have it on, which you can’t turn on or off if you have a quest active. That means people who are willing to take the risks or already are familiar with the combat (like if they’re grinding a new file or something) can progress further, faster and people who are perhaps newer or don’t want to be bothered can level up and farm money slower.

It’s obviously not perfect since we have to cater to the PvE majority, the PvP minority, and people who brag that they have a 10-0 win loss streak in street brawling when they’ve really been going to the playground and beating up kindergarteners but it’s really the best I can come up with.

just make it so you can only get boss drops if you have pvp turned on

maybe not for late game stuff like Boss raids if we get those (since friendly fire in boss raid always an awful idea)

but rivals and stuff could be a good idea

I don’t care about ganking degenerate bastards who gave PvP community a bad image in the first place by being pussies who only dare attack their targets if they had their limbs removed and were beaten within an inch of their life, the only people actually negatively impacted by this change, thank you very much.

Then again, seems you aren’t a fan of reason.

i was thinking cernyx, evander, kai and others

like i said earlier, people like aphotic are a minority among pvpers

I disagree, I think the PvP toggle boosting rates is a good idea but I feel like that disabling drops unless you have it toggled would encourage cornering people in Boss Rooms for easier kills (both Player and Boss kills) which is honestly more of a dick move than a regular ambush and takes the memorization aspect of bosses which make them fun out of the equation

However I think it’d make sense if PvP was allowed when fighting Evander and Kai but only if you’re apart of their faction, because it’d make sense

Anyone in a clan is basically not affected at all

anyone on the leaderboard won’t get affected

people who just gank randoms just trying to grind a boss or do the story will be affected with the pcer finally having peace

Pvpers who want to fight someone experienced will not be affected

pvers that like the occasional fight will have duels

i really don’t see any issue

Even worse if its some max level guy vs someone just doing the story like 50 levels below

pretty much, yeah
pvp toggle only affects a small minority that people like to say its the majority otherwise nothing changes for the actual majority

And the majority isn’t affected in the slightest. They PvP against people who also want to PvP. Problem solved.

pvp toggle deadass one of the best things in this update

I really don’t understand how anyone except gankers can be against the PvP toggle.

Those who were actually looking for PVP usually would just meet at the arena or join Elysium servers. Clan members and high renown players can’t toggle it off as well.

Those who are trying to do Story / PvE can finally focus on it without a fully geared sweats obliterating them with their meta build.
Especially fun when you were completing legendary charts.

I also think the same. Without PvP, most people would likely leave, as the game would become boring very quickly without the ability to gank others.

The problem is that the majority are PvPers, it just that they don’t annoy devs about being killed by gankers.

PvPers can still get ganked by other PvPers if they wish so. If not, they can turn off their PvP.

I still don’t see the issue.

pvp makes treasure hunting, diving, etc. actually interesting and exciting since it creates a risk of losing everything. the most fun ive had on ao was when i ran away from some random hunting me and tried to hide while i had a bunch of legendary and exotic charts on me.

it seems like ao is just not for you. if you dont want pvp, risk or fun then go play animal crossing or bee simulator
