I think it might be people who already had big egos, that are try to have a crumb of prestige above everyone through getting a special title. I wouldn’t describe getting the epicenter explorer badge as something difficult to obtain since it only really requires a decent ship and a lot of patience

I did not know people acted differently with the funny purple title.

Ok, I use the title and I’m none of those
Like I’m just an average clanless solo casual who likes to travel around with no objective
Also most of my kills are from self defense

Like I also meet a few chill people who use the title as well (was roleplaying with one the other month)
Hence the distain is sorta a bit overrated

As much as I would also genuinely enjoy if people rp’d a bit more in AO that’s just not the way the player base went
