part 7 is best
Can’t really say anything about best since they’re all generally pretty great
but I can say that Part 2 is imo the weakest
it’s fun, yes, and it’s enjoyable, yes. and has one of my favorite Main JoJos.
but I felt like the plot never really brought anything new to the series aside from new vampires (who were dropped in part 4 as none show up after that) and expansion of the ripple (which was immediately dropped for stands in the next part).
All the other parts brought something unique to the table that had some lasting effect on the plot:
Part 1 introduced the Joestar Lineage and the ever present conflict they had with Dio and his followers
Part 3 introduced Stands, which are pretty much the main power throughout the rest of the franchise
Part 4 and 5 introduced the Stand Arrows, which would later play a major point later in Part 5 and 6 in both the requiem arrows and stand discs
Part 6 literally reset the universe and made a pretty satisfactory conclusion to the first universe of JoJo
Part 7 introduced the Corpse Parts and the weird Dragon Ball-ish nature of being able to do amazing things if they were collected together
and Part 8 introduced the New Locacaca which is probably gonna play a big part in the upcoming JoJoLands
Part 2 felt like filler more than anything
even if it was good filler
so yeah
part 1 is the weakest imho but it kinda had a lot of limitations because it had to set up
anyone who thinks part 7 isn’t the undisputed champion needs to get their head checked, and part 1 was forced to be a snoozefest because it focused entirely on setting up the future of the franchise
how was part 7 the best one
It’s literally a tale about a paraplegic cowboy and his Italian friend with magical spin powers who go on a cross-country horse race to stop the president of the united states from gathering all of Jesus’ corpse parts, what’s not to love about that?
Part 1 seems to be the most skipped part generally because of how boring it is (based on people’s videos about parts)
compared to Jojolion which is just a clusterfuck of what, not saying its a bad part though
Jojolion is the point where the “Bizarre” in the title isn’t enough.
the overall plot is the best by far. it seems to be the first part where Araki actually planned the story out ahead of time, and it shows in the part’s general cohesion and fluidity. most of the side characters like Ringo n Wekapipo are fully developed which makes their arcs far more interesting and intense. Diego and Hot Pants are also really interesting characters that work to improve the part’s cast by a great extent. Johnny is by far the best Jojo that Araki ever wrote, who starts of as a standoffish and bitter asshat who develops into a much better person throughout the events of the part. Gyro is by far the best Jobro, no contest, an absolute badass with the perfect amount of comedic relief to make him one of the best characters in the entire series. his motivation for entering the race, as well as his relationship with Johnny, and how he evolves over the course of the part is a marvel of writing. Valentine is the best villain in Jojo, a bit ahead of Kira in my opinion. he’s a character who was originally presented to be greedy and very one-dimensional, who eventually becomes a devious anti-hero who is arguably more heroic than the main characters. the plot also has some of the best stand fights in the entire series, personally I believe that Scary Monsters and Cream Starter vs. D4C is probably the best fight in Jojo’s, followed by Tusk and Ball Breaker vs. D4C: Love Train. overall there really aren’t any flaws to the part or its narrative and it’s pretty much flawless, I don’t really see how anything else can compete

Jojo aint bad but my god I hate it’s community
best you can do is ignore em and just read the source material, even so it makes me a bit salty that the community has such a horrible reputation after it got flooded back in 2018
people who say jojo sucks havent done anything except look at cringe memes

I’d say that Part 7’s overrated
but ngl
it’s still really good
i only really chose Part 4 over the rest on the poll cause I really like the characters and setting
They all seem like standard, down to earth people who you’d probably see in your daily life
and they’re all pretty likeable
and DavPro really did go the extra mile to make the setting look really colorful and stand out compared to other setting in JJBA like Egypt or Italy
