im just gonna say it bro this has to be the WORST profession to level. you hardly get any xp from catching fish so how do you level it. as of me posting this i have level 7 fishing and around 88k XP. i need to get 125k.
if fishing scales the same way as other professions, then you’ll need 300k XP to max it out.
It really feels like the intention here is for players to macro because maxing it out is completely ridiculous but also that’s against the rules so what was the plan here.
at level 8 you get swarm bait which makes it significantly faster using ensnaring bronze + swarm bait as well as luminous lure. it takes around ~2-2.5k fish in total to get to max level, or a few hours
why didn’t they make it so people who have ocean’s archivist title instantly get level 10 fishing
Depens on fish type xp i guess but still best bet would ensnaring bronze rod to catch more as it is the fastest to catch fish

btw best way to level up fishing (imo) is to fish while you are traveling on your boat on the way to do other things since that way it’s basically passive + doesn’t take up time
