You can mention only one if you want. This can be anything like the combat, ships, items, enemies, status effects, weather, something unique, etc.
I think my most loved feature is probably the ship sailing (or ships in general), they’re a pretty neat way of travel and being able to build and customise your own ship. It kinda acts as a personal “home” of yours that you take along with you. I think the movement in general is also pretty cool, though that’s moreso an honourable mention
As for the feature I hate the most, it’d have to be Atlantean ships, specifically the fact on how persistent they are. Every other enemy ship leaves you alone if you get far enough from them, but for some reason the Atlanteans are unique in that they’ll seemingly never leave you alone, no matter how far you’ll sail from them, if they notice you it’s either you sink them, they sink you or you attack the Atlanteans onboard to avoid having to fight the ship (still not really avoiding combat though). They’re the main reason I never sail too far into the Dark Sea because my ship isn’t really built for combat against tough ships (has around 18k~ due to Warship on sails) and the further you get into the Dark Sea the higher level the Atlanteans are, making the skip of aggroing them off the ship also not as viable
Bounty hunting, basically the onl treason why I still play the game.
And…
T-jump.
…makes everything smaller on the map, no real importance to dimensions of houses, cities, mountains and people jump around like crickets and stuff…
Would have preferred a smaller jump, maybe just a double normal one.
I love fleets system but hate the desertion mechanic
I don’t think I ever seen the desertion mechanic in play, since I usually restock my fleet supplies when they get at around 60% and pause operations if I can’t restock it in time. But from what I remember it is annoying, so I understand whatca mean
Yeah you have 100% total but in reality you only get to use 40%
not so much as specific features as they are more aspects of the game but-
loved- variety of activities to do (fighting in all of its forms, charting, fishing, etc) as well as the customization you can do with various things
things i would change about what i loved- minigames for fishing and tasks like cooking/brewing, and more in-depth accessory customization like deepwoken
hated- bloat features (tanning, dirt, armor breaking) and features that are just there to make you spend more time on the game (spell/technique scrolls being single use, losing spell/technique scrolls on stat reset, lack of QoL for multi-file usage)
things i would change about what i hated- remove all of the bloat features, change the features that require you to put more time into the game to be more friendly to casual players (spell scrolls are now inf use which also fixes the issue of them resetting since it wouldnt matter anymore, and a lot more data tied to the account itself rather than the file, that being stuff like titles, logs, fleet, professions, etc)
if they get rid of t jump then they should make climbing a bit faster (assuming its still slow even with climbing tools. I havent really tested it without using the usual t jump method)
but anyways, love vetex’s ideas, hate their implementation at times.
