We’ve seen Atlanteans as the main enemy of the Dark Sea, being people who were exposed to the Dark Sea’s rain for too long. However, there are also the Sirens, who are creatures of greek(?) origin.
What’s the criteria for Dark Sea Enemies? I’m curious to know what could live (and be fitting in the setting) of the Dark Sea.
As an example, would a sentient stone statue that’s controlled by magic make sense in the lore of the Dark Sea? The idea came to mind after staring at the stone Exiled statues in certain Dark Sea Structures.
frozen heroes trapped in time minds husked, freed to fight or die
drops their full set of gear with the “time Held” modifier
(drops “rotten ice” that can add the modifier)
buffs stats given from gear but when in combat the power of the said stats drains away
I personally really like the idea of something themed off of things that are typically viewed as beautiful, extravagant, ect turned into a horrible corrupted monster.
Examples: Atlanteans, Nymphs, Sirens (with this exact concept being their ENTIRE deal), fae, satyrs, and plenty of others I don’t immediately remember.
I need there to be a 0.02% chance for any atlantean to be replaced by
this would be the ultimate enemy, with infinite damage, but only 100 health
if you manage to kill it, you get the mask, which is just a decorative accessory without any stats
need to see my boy typhon referenced SOMEWHERE, him being the “father of all monsters” in greek mythology + being associated with volcanoes, in which the Epicenter is FULL OF
Doesn’t have to be umibozu specifically but the whole offering thing should be present. A large high-level creature that approaches your ship; you can give it treasure chests to make it go away. Sometimes they’ll only need one, other times maybe two or even three. If you try to leave without giving an offering or attack the creature they’ll aggro your ship.
A giant hand that just comes out of the dark sky, it’s arm is obscured by the dark clouds and mist in the dark sea so you can’t see what it’s attached too
This has no connection to anything I pulled it entirely out’ve my ass and just thought it’d be cool to see regardless of whether or not it fits in the dark sea, if its similar to anything its a coincidence.
