Hi! Recently I decided I wanna go after the Master Angler title… It’s a very big journey but I think I wanna start fishing (and get some sunkens on the way)
Are their specific rods you would use for certain regions? Or certain enchantments? Cause all I have is a luring bronze rod, thank you
Ensnaring bronze or toughened bronze are the best for dark sea fishing, because fishmonger’s gives lower rarity (I believe) while bronze only lowers item chances (which don’t matter) and lets you hook fish faster
for just gold fish it’s better to go with the tier 2 luck bronze rod
Im glad I saved up all these random fishing enchants, thank you… Do the T2 luck enchant affect giant fish? And also, the toughened enchants description says that it attracts giant fish, so would a toughened bronze rod be good for specifically catching giant fish that aren’t in the dark sea?
Just go for graced fishmonger rod, has all the stats you need for efficiency.
Decent lure time, faster reel, and better rarity chances. If you’ve gotten all the giant ocean fishes, go fishing in the dark sea and all the golden variants would be really fast to obtain.
Any other rod would have lower chances and speed in terms of fishing for master angler.
ensnaring bronze for small and giant versions of common and uncommon fish
graced bronze for anything else
oh yeah toughened bronze for massive
don’t use ‘‘fishmonger’’ rod, bronze rod is the best rn and anyone who says otherwise has no idea of what they’re saying
They just dont know the difference and how stupidly efficient graced fishmonger is. For comparison:
People who keep talking about using graced/toughened bronze rod haven’t done the math. As long as you’re fishing in the ds i1 range, you’ll catch legendaries faster with graced fishmonger rod. Plus a lot of legendary fish farmers use it.
What about time? If I’m reading that info right, Graced Fishmonger is about 15% better at getting golden than Graced Bronze, but how much faster is Bronze at getting bites than Fishmonger? The numbers on the wiki lead me to believe the speed makes up for it.
Golden/Massive increases the reel time so pretty much it’s near the same if you’re fishing in the dark sea with graced bronze rod.
Even if you would think that it’s faster at getting Golden/Massive variants, you would at best be getting small/normal goldens more often. Statistically, there’s less fish needed to catch until you get a legendary if you go with graced fishmonger rod.
Graced/Toughened/Luring Bronze would get you about 75K/75K/76K on average to get master angler post-luck nerf, while Graced Fishmonger would be down to 68K on average. Toughened Fishmonger is between those two comparisons, overall Graced Fishmonger is still the most efficient to use.
I’m not sure what you’re getting at here, I thought the lure stat made fish bite faster, and had nothing to do with reeling them in.
I’m thinking about it more in terms of time spent fishing, rather than minimum fish caught. If it takes 10% more fish caught to get MA but you’re getting bites 15% faster, that could end up being faster.
I meant that the reel time per catch would still increase the time it took finish a catch so at best it’s only a few bit faster.
Even if it is faster, it would still catch small/normal fish golden variants more often on practice, creating a 7K gap on the average fish caught until master angler. Though I guess it depends on how much longer you’re willing to use up your time, if you want to catch more fish in-between then I guess bronze rod is better.
