Self explanatory prompt, I’ll start it off

  • I’m Chinese but I can barely speak Chinese at all
  • I learn Spanish at school
  • My Hong Kong background contributes to a British accent (although most of it has faded away as I get used to American English). I still use slang terms like bobby (British version of “cop”) and bumpkin (British way of saying “dumbass from the countryside”) every once in a while. No, I can’t speak Cantonese
  • I learn German as a hobby
  • I previously started with Swedish, Russian, and Finnish, but never got around to learning them, so I picked German instead since it’s spoken in a lot of European nations and also very related to Scandinavian languages.
  • The only French thing I can speak is singing La Marseillaise
  • I don’t do Asian languages at all because I think they’re relatively boring to learn, this goes to Mandarin, Korean, Japanese (Im an anti-weeb). Although they’re very useful, I’m still a Europe fanboy even though I’m Asian by heritage.

took 2 years of spanish, have no idea how much of it i actually retained though

conlangs are pretty interesting to me, even though they serve no practical purpose whatsoever lol

French is my main language, I don’t really have any problem with written english but I never use it orally so I barely know how to pronounce anything.
I might want to learn Spanish since it’s a pretty common language online in US servers and stuff, but I’m really not willing to spend time for that. It’s more like what I would learn instantly if I had the choice to.

Oh also I’m still learning English at school I guess? I mean, it’s more like reviewing what we already learned each year but anyway

Would learn Korean or Chinese/Japanese, but am more so planning on NOT learning languages.

Want To Learn: Probably another Germanic language or Spanish. Potentially Japanese, since I have considered taking a vacation there at some point in my life, out of curiosity.

Other: I can identify the meanings of foreign words in some languages sometimes simply because I read the roots of words and compare them to whatever sounds similar in either Latin or English.

I know English, can speak an intermediate amount of Spanish, and I know a tiny, tiny bit of Korean. I also know random words in random languages and I also know some ASL. In conclusion, I’m basically Mr. Worldwide
