Kinda confused on Savant and its use in PvP and PvE, mainly PvP.
Planning on making two savants; a fire explosion thermo savant and a shadow basic boxing savant with both being 10/90/100/50 and I would like to try them out in PvP once I am finished with them.
However, I’m not sure on what makes Savant ‘hard’ to play and master. Heard it can be hard to play because of the lack of moves it has. Would appreciate any answer I get.
Managing your entire hotbar (and do it effectively)
Forced to play properly instead of hitting q and demolishing your opponent
Lower skill tiers meaning your attacks are smaller and cost more energy
Just doesn’t look or feel as cool as other classes ngl
I have been playing savant for 40 - 50 hours now so i’m the best example yes yes
Savant’s reduced damage: Due to using old weapons the damage affinities are lower thus making savants deal lesser damage.
Savant’s constant switching between weapons require you to have more muscle memory to use the best weapons/ magic/ fs for the current situation (and soon to be spirit weapons)
Spirit weapons not existing (oof)
Old weapons having less aoe as for now since we don’t have second awakening for savant each weapons you use will have a miniscule amount of aoe.
No shapes: Since the game’s release the shapes of a magic helps in many situations but savants can’t have that because of it’s stat points.
If anything, it has more moves than a lot of other classes, at least in terms of the types of moves you get. What can make it difficult is how singular weapon/magic/fs skills are much weaker than even a 2 stat hybrid class, and how much swapping between different inventory slots you’d do to make use of everything. Speaking of which, it can be kinda difficult to remember to make use of all your tools, since you have so much, yet individually it’s all weak.
savant much later is going to have a much wider range of what is accessable which will send the combinations to the roof. espically if we get more weapons/fighting styles that apply status effects
