What mouse settings do you use in AO pvp?

  • Shift Lock
  • Free Mouse

If so, why?

Free mouse because I’ve pretty much gotten used to it (played both AR and WoM) and that shift-lock feels too tedious to do since I can just lock my mouse as If I was shift-locking anyway.

both but leaning towards free mouse more

shift lock is kind of annoying to use and free mouse isnt accurate despite the cursor being red

Shiftlock for weapons/fstyles and free mouse for mage as a general rule of thumb

Also depends on what build my opponent is running and their playstyle

People who can just switch them around in a fight are very impressive to me

ive been doing this since the beginning

Magic or gun then free mouse but if im doing weapons or FS (until the great FS destruction) then shift lock as aiming is easier free mouse but using teleports and stuff is easier with shift locke

Just keep switching around depending on position lol. In WoM days you had to pseudo shift lock smh

Both but Shift-lock typically.

play doomspire brickbattle
aiming rocket launcher in 3rd person is much easier than in 1st person

Usually free mouse bc I can view freely and then just aim the mouse at the target, sometimes I do shift lock but the downside is sometimes the crosshair or body of my player blocks the target

i just cant aim right with shift lock, it feels weird

Free mouse feels more comfortable with AO compared to shift lock

I use the one where you move the mouse to aim

Shiftlock because I don’t use a mouse
Free mouse if I have to like properly aim

it really depends, though typically I use shiftlock to move around and then I use regular to aim attacks.

though as a warlock or strength file, shiftlock feels so much better.

free mouse, 700 dpi, 0.15 sensitivity, 2mm surface detection, high speed connection via usb

I personally use free mouse cause i’ve been using that like everywhere and it just feels weird for me with shift lock

Depends I kinda alternate

and I still lose
