After owing hollow knight since 2021 I finally attempted path of pain and damn I’ve never been more frustrated from a game in my life but what about you guys?

The only thing I can think of right now is S ranking all the bosses in Pizza Tower I think
At least I think I have I dunno the dementia is kicking in
(Project Wingman) Beating Crimson One on Mercenary with the T21 (Mig-21), probably. Kings is etched into my brain because of it, alongside his entire rant. Not the first person to do it, but it’s still one of the most painful things I’ve done thus far - surpassing that of the Pantheon of Hallownest.

I’m not looking forward to trying the pantheon ngl most I might try doing is just fighting the bosses individually 
So far path of pain but that could change in the future. The special world for super mario wonder was also pretty hard.

The T-21 is the starter plane. Slow turning, no Air to Air weaponry beyond standard missiles, low top speed. You use it for one mission and ditch it, it’s worthless.
Crimson One pilots the PW.MK1 - a literal superplane capable of doing a 180 degree turn while maintaining momentum, boasts a near constant stream of micro-missiles, has a burst railgun strapped to it, alongside orbs of doom and orbs that turn into more railguns. Couple that with durability no plane can feasibly have and 4 wingmen who are more than capable of eviscerating you (each with their own endgame plane), it’s a fight that is difficult even with the F/S-15 or VX-23 (Endgame planes).
You’re doing that in a Vietnam era plane. It’s not fun.
Oh right, there’s also no checkpoints like Ace Combat has, so good luck. Die and you’re going back to the start.
The unique bosses make the pain worth it. Except Absrad, fuck Absrad. Also Sisters of Battle is a goated fight.

Oh also I did each of these twice both on my school laptop (don’t ask how I got ultrakill on it 
) and PC
I also have litterly every other level below P-Ranked on brutal but that’s not as impressive

If the game isn’t open for you, try joining the group first.
If you’re asking how to actually play, just pick a mode and prevent the statue from being broken. Game seems pretty dead these days, so if you’re trying to beat Universal Mode then just give up man…

I haven’t even gotten close to beating the first boss in ds due to how clunky the game feels
I haven’t even tried eclipse yet for ror2 so yeah that’s impressive
